Hi,
that problem with backtrace was perhaps my misread/misunderstand of the
backtrace.
No matter, it seems that this problem has been solved in original, because I
haven't reproduced it during about 4-5 hours of gameplay
So, you can close this bug...

It seems to be resolved but, apparently, I dunno how... I believe it changed
after some upgrade, but I am not really sure which one it was (some
xserver-xorg upgrades happened, also some Gnome upgrades)
so, sorry for bothering you

Confirming this bug on Thinkpad T61, both current 2.6.30-686 and
2.6.32-trunk-686 kernels
This issue should be considered Critical, renders systems almost unusable
with no known workaround (as far as i know)
