Dear Maintainer,
please activate d3d9 support in mesa by --enable-nine option. This will
produce some additional files that may be placed into separate packages.
I have tested it with wine since it was included into mesa mainline and
it always compiles and works we

To reproduce: create 32767 pixels width PNG image, open it with eom (mate image
viewer). Try to resize eom window, X server will crash, lightdm login screen
appears lately.

was able to repro the issue a handful of times before this patch but
not after. Not tested exhaustively though. In the future, please file
nouveau bugs at bugs.freedesktop.org where I won't completely forget
about them :)

send it as a proper patch to mesa-dev? Assuming it doesn't break x86,
happy to check it in.

bad of course, but xorg should say about it with some other phrases...
I think, people who still have this bug should run something like
profiler for xorg process to locate this place in code. Anyway, corg
developers interested in this.
