On the back of #899766[0] I've just filed #900631[1] to have the ivtv-
utils package removed from unstable which made me wonder about the ivtv
X driver.
Like with the utils I've been unable to find any current upstream for

Thanks guys. I managed to get one of the upstream branches importe
upstream-trunk. I'd quite like to switch the debian-experiment branch
over to upstream-trunk.

Currently this includes the X.org 7.1 patch but upstream has told me
they will look at merging it. That might take a while though, he needs
to upgrade from some ancient version of X first, so I'd rather ship the
patched version for now.

not sure what is wrong in your
case, the actual .c files in the X driver haven't changed compared to
the old modular build, just the build system. Did you also upgrade the
kernel driver?
