Dear Maintainer,
in version 13.X.X.X there was an implementation of a software opengl2.0, for
cards, which

I know) abandoned in 17.X. Is there any cha

Dear Maintainer,
I know, software opengl2 has been eliminated from mesa versions 17.X and

Someone told me, that it would be too complicated to develop it further on.
We have to accept this. But would it be possible, to implement the e

Dear maintainers,
your last answers did not help any more, to find out the reason. Everything you
told me, I already saw myself:
1. X is stopping
2. kdm is stopping
3. module synaptics is not loaded
These things are already recognized by myself. But none of you could or wanted
to help me, to
And there is an important thing, I forgot to mention: This described behaviour
appears only on my 64-bit system. Both 32-bit system I am using are working
fine.

Hello Mattia,
as promised, I send you the required logs. Sorry, if they are a bit long.
Well, however, I hope, it will help.
The strange thing is: at boot it crashes, when I start X manually, everything
works.
Here is the log:
Pleae feel free to ask for any more information.
Best regards

When I start kdm (gdm/xdm) manually, the above mentioned messages related to
the failure of Synaptics driver do not appear!
Thank you very much for reading this mail and please, be so kind and point me
to the correct maintainer team.
Thank you very much!
Best regards

Well, I am still looking, what is happening. Now I am not fully sure, if evdev
is responsible for this bug. Another player in this game might be "udev". When
I carefully examined the logs, I discovered the following lines in Xorg.log

Hi all,
I can confirm this on an amd-64/sid with an ATI graphics card.
Same messages as the other people reported. I tried to reinstall the packages
of testingm with no success. Just to get X started, I added "vesa" as the
driver, and X started.
But using "ati" or "radeon" is crashing with SEG
Hi all,
maybe this is not important or wanted:
all freetype-modules in this package are missing. Obviously they are missing
in testing and in unstable. In stable the modules are still there in this
package.
Hope it helps.

Dear maintainers,
the bug did not appear any more. Everything is working fine now, although I
had nothing changed. The bug came by magic, and went by magic.
I think, you can safely close this bug.
