modes for which the server didn't have a definition, or for which it used
a sub-optimal definition.
I still need this program to define correct timings for 1400x10

Hello, some news about the bug:
I had the occasion to temporarily change my graphics card and try a Radeon
9250 (detected as "9200PRO 5960"). Doing so my 1400x1050 mode definition
was accepted and I could use it. So the bug may be related to the tdfx
driver, or, the other way round, the radeon dr
