I am using unstable and the bug is not reproducible.
It can be closed right away.
I have a folder that I keep track of any bugs I file now so as not to forget
them like this one. Sorry for the lack of follow up.

Just to verify - this problem still exists. and the "fix" mentioned does not
work. It only gets rid of the error message but still creates no new
xorg.conf file.
