I think the patch for sparc to allow scanning the newer style PCI proc
domain entries has broken 2.4's PCI scanning.

versioned symbols did not exist to begin with. Atleast with this scheme,
we have an upgrade path (that wasn't there for the libc5 -> libc6

binary compatibility, ensured that everything will still run as it did
before. It does not mean that things wont have to be rebuilt to allow

You know, if you force X to use libdb2, it will work with 2.1.3 and
2.1.94. The easy (not sure how easy in terms of the X build) is to replace
with and -ldb with -ldb2.
