I found an easy way to crash the X server: view a 1bpp image with xli, and
increase the size with the '>' key a few times.
After the first resize, there's a small area of junk on the screen, to the

The upgrade of libmetacity-private0 from 2.30.1-3 to 2.34.0-1 is the
cause of the problem.
Haven't looked into its code, I assume there is an ABI change that was
not well documented, so linkage still works when running the
gtk-window-decorator, but should not, thus either a libmetacity-private1

For trying to solve this issue, I'm upgraded compiz* packages using the
the experimental version (0.9.2.1+git20110226.f059fae9-4) but the
problem still remain.
The only solution, actually, is to disable compiz.
