Hi Michel,
all other packages were from wheezy i.e. libgl1-mesa-dri 7.7.1-4...
I tried to upgrade libgl1-mesa-dri and libgl1-mesa-glx to 7.10-4, as well as
libdrm2 libdrm-intel1 and libdrm-radeon1 to 2.4.23-3.
and this solves the issue in googleearth. Thanks for the diagnosis!

You said radeon right? I don't have that but here's some tips.
/usr/X11R7/bin/Xorg (that's the name of your "real X server")
automatically makes a config (example /etc/X11/Xorg-config-4).
What you want is to run Xorg with option to save the config. Editing
that config you'll see mouse, keyb
