/etc/X11/xorg.conf and change
Option "XkbdModel" "pc105"
to

but, its far from obvious to find it.

I had this issue with the lynx SM910 chip. I resolved it by adding
Option "HWCursor" "off"
to the "Device" section in xorg.conf
