needed to press space to get the ~, so I vote for reverting the change
(altgr+4 should print a ~).

I'm in favor of asciitilde. When typing in Spanish I never use dead_tilde,
but use asciitilde quite often in my shell and in URLs, so when it was
changed I was a bit surprised and inconvenienced. Also, when necessary, I
can type characters with dead_tilde using the compose key.
