This happens with a MS Intellimouse Explorer as well, so it's not
Logitech-related.
And indeed, it happens only when mouse is grabbed (setting \in_nograb

Ignore me. You can close it. It is being turned off blanket elsewhere in
the code around line 2089 of trident_driver.c without any messages. The
bug is cosmetic. The if around line 2089 should actually log a message
why the cursor is being turned off.

After my daily sid upgrade X did not start anymore.
I found a thread in the debian-powerpc list which shows the same
symptom.
My hardware is a mac mini G4 1.07GHz with 512 MB RAM. It is connected by
