I confirm exactly the same behavior.
To activate plugins on start, use this command-line:
compiz --replace decoration cube (..)
You can find the list plugins (and thus their names) under /usr/share/compiz

Hi,
I've have a strange malady on my debian/unstable Dell Inspiron 9300
laptop: mouse clicks no longer open menus in Iceweasel and OpenOffice.
Also drop down lists only open for a fraction of a second. Using
keyboard accelerators, menus open fine however.
This is with a recent clean install an
