Since your problem is related to PCI and Xserver 1.3 is now known to have big problems with PCI on non-x86 architectures, here's a wild guess: umount /sys before starting Xorg. If umount complains that /sys is busy, try "umount -l /sys". Then start X and send us the log (especially the PCI scan). I
