Hi Martin,
This problem has been reported as bug 352869 a while ago, and a solution
is on its way. Please add the directives
Load "cfb"
Load "cfb32"
to the "Module" section of your xorg.conf as a workaround in the meantime.

Hi,
As mentioned before, the xorg.conf generation on sparc is currently
broken. Attached patch (which, I hope, eventually will be applied) against
xorg source package fixes all currently known problems:
* The type of the installed video card is detected properly using prtconf
from the sparc-
I have a workaround for the problem, I will send it now while I
remember. I will try and figure out a fix tomorrow.

I have an ubuntu sucessfully installed at my machine with ati driver
from xorg. Here I tryed vesa and ati. Knoppix is using vesa and it's
working fine at all.
My card seems not been detected so I add this information:
