The version number is a bit strange, 1:7.0.10.
And when we want to install fglrx-driver, we break
dependency because, those packet ask for a
version <= 7.0.99 and it don't match.

After the upgrade to xorg 7.0 today, compiling software fails
with the following error message:

Indeed, the file vanished:

I had also this bug. Fixed with installing xkb-data, using XkbRules to

Well, xbase-clients still has missing build dependencies either way,
as xdpyinfo, xsetmode, and xsetpointe
Same problem here: after update I couldn't even login... AltGr doesn't work.
I also noticed that Ctrl+Alt+Fx doesn't switch to a fb console as usual.
Fortunately I could login to ssh: that allowed me at least to downgrade
Xorg.
In my xorg.conf I already had Option "XkbRules" "xorg".
Thanks

Now that /usr/X11R6/bin and /usr/bin/X11 do not point to the same place,
if a system has /usr/bin/X11 in its PATH, it will miss anything left in

Hi,
I've been meaning to lend a hand to the XSF for quite some time now and after
some discussion with David Nusinow on IRC I decided to go ahead and attempt
to package xterm 212. The results can be found here[0]. The packaging is the
same as for xterm-210 and I've only added a couple of patches t

Option "PciRetry" "on"
Option "OldDmaInit" "true"
The first one eliminates xorg crash (blank screen).

Now that xorg 7.0.10 is in unstable, this problem does not manifest
itself anymore.

Hi X list,
Are libxp6 and libxp-dev not going to enter the brave new world of
modularized X? I can't find a libxp directory in the Debian package
pool on ftp.d.o, so apparently there is no modular libxp even in
experimental?
I note that x11-common, xserver-xorg, libxp6, libxp-dev, and xaw3dg are

On upgrading X packages to the versions in Sid today, the link in

manually to point to /usr/vin/X11/Xorg.

Hello,
The package file of xbase-clients does not seem to follow
consistently the usual convention of Debian packages, whereby any
directory that the packages has files in is also contained in the
