I've also checked out HEAD for etch and adjusted the build
script.

So, I think i've sorted it right. I merged the etch branch down into
MAIN and so that is now HEAD. However i'm not sure how to delete the
branch tag. Or at least people will need to now be careful not to commit
to that branch.
