The bug speaks for itself, really. The fortunes-es package is really outrageously wrong, and as there is already a fortunes-es-off (offensive) for those who don't want to put crap up on their websites or on their kids' desktops (or even see it themselves), well. Here is the original bug report,

I guessed this point would arise. So I won't dispute that it is in extremely poor taste, but it is very hard to offend people lately, and it is better to let them have have an outlet, after all. So I really am ok if they are deleted, ok if they are moved to -off, either way is fine for me. What
