which is still waiting in the NM queue, could not help me too, so
I orphan this package. I think that at least two motivated maintainers

I intend to orphan the kbackup package. It's not maintained anymore by its
author and has lots of bugs.
You should try backuppc which will enter the Debian archive soon !!
