The iceweasel-webdeveloper opens the W3C validators. The htmlvalidator
plugin checks the HTML page locally without sending something. Even if
you do not have Internet access, you can validate your pages. So yes,
that's a big difference.

Yes, this tool is less useful on Debian, but it still provides you a
mapping from {old,stable,testing,sid} to the current codename. That's
for example useful for my pbuilder config.
