Hello Jeremy Bicha
Sure I could. But then it's contrib only... what do you think are the chances
for
Ubuntu/Canonical to make the font really free? They (Canonical, Ubuntu) after all
mention the differences between free software and other software. And I sort of
have the feeling they would be

Everyone would like to see the Ubuntu Font Family in 'main'.
At this point in time, 'main' is sadly not an option because:

Hi,
So I have tried the code here:
http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=users/bottoms/pkg-uhd.git;a=summary
.. and I get this when building in a sid chroot:
...
git clone git://anonscm.debian.org/users/bottoms/pkg-uhd.git
cd pkg-uhd
...
anarcat@marcos:pkg-uhd$ DIST=sid ARCH=amd64 git-buildpackag
Argh, bad news :(
Do we have an idea of the actual diff between the 2 versions ?
Contacting gtkimageview upstream is a good idea, a backup plan may be to
patch the package in Debian, but it's not a very nice solution :(
Regards,
Julien Lavergne

Hi,
as you probably noticed the upstream source does not seem to be in
git. I think you need to download the tarballs (from where?) and use
--git-overlay option.
