I request assistance with maintaining the geeqie package. I seem to lack
time to manage incoming bug reports, what should mostly mean forwarding
them to upstream. Ideally if you would be also interested in upstream
dev

I suggested the upstream author to remove the Debian directory from
the ibus-handwrite tallball. He will remove it and release a new version soon.
I will upload the package after that.

I just tested your mplayer2 package. It works fine so far, but it's
missing a "Conflicts: mplayer" line in the control file, because
both mplayer2 and mplayer contain /usr/bin/mplayer and the
respective manpage.
