Since I was in the need for spampd, I made a package myself, before
noticing your ITP. My package uses 2.12. Maybe you're interested by

Do you know there is already a package for the Progeny installer in the
archive: pgi?
Please close this bug (and related bugs) if the equivalent of the pgi
package is what you intend to package.
