When I read the wnpp report today I noticed that this bug is still
open. Are you looking for more help with smokeping or can this bug be
closed?

I've been doing some work on the smokeping package in the past few
weeks/months with anarcat.
Namely,
* a new upstream release was packaged and sent to experimental, and
we're trying to get it into sid very soon.
* I've written and submitted a patch upstream in response to a bug
repo

By joining the team, I mainly meant giving you VCS commit access. If
you're not using the package much anymore then I probably wouldn't
expect you to be tracking the package too
