Similarly to Hamish's comment, I don't object to the ITP, but this
task can be accomplished using the standard binutils objcopy utility;
I use it daily.
objcopy -Iihex -Obinary in.hex out.bin
objcopy -Ibinary -Oihex in.bin out.hex
