Actually this tool is written in Java, not Tcl. My bad. Dave

Bug#122393: How's omni coming?

2002-08-21 Thread David D. Kilzer
Unless I misunderstood the Debian BTS, I only filed a request for package (RFP) for Omni, not a full-fledged intent to package (ITP). http://www.debian.org/devel/wnpp/ I filed the RFP because I was originally looking at using Omni as a driver for Okidata ML-590 printer we have in the office for

Bug#108942: The saga of cyrus2-imapd continues

2001-11-07 Thread David D. Kilzer
I finally got cyrus2-imapd to authenticate an account, but I had to use "sasldb" instead of "PAM" for "sasl_pwcheck_method" in /etc/imapd.conf. It appears that until PAM-0.74 is available in "unstable", cyrus2-imapd won't be able to authenticate using it. I thought about filing a "new upstream ve

Bug#108942: More on cyrus-imapd RPMs

2001-10-29 Thread David D. Kilzer
This web page has up-to-date RPMs for cyrus-imapd 2.x (since Red Hat no longer maintains a Powertools CD as of 7.2): http://rmrpms.tripod.com/cyrus-imapd/ It also contains a wealth of useful information about configuring cyrus-imapd. Dave

Bug#108942: PAM problems

2001-10-26 Thread David D. Kilzer
cyrus2-imapd seems to be having problems authenticating users via PAM. When I try to log in via "telnet mailhost 110", I get an error message similar to the following (regardless of whether I enter a valid or an invalid password): mailhost:~# telnet mailhost 110 Trying W.X.Y.Z... Connected to mail

Okay, rebuilding libsasl7 with libdb3-dev worked! The binaries no longer depend on both libdb2 and libdb3! Unfortunately, I'm still having problems with cyrmaster taking forever and a day to start up, and I can't log in via POP3 even after creating an account. I think I need to RTFM a bit more.

Bug#112753: giFT daemon does not detach from tty

2001-10-01 Thread David D. Kilzer
wget-1.7-2 contains a patch that checks for the daemon(3) function and uses it if available to detach wget from the terminal when it's running in (you guessed it) daemon mode. http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/w/wget/wget_1.7-2.1.diff.gz or # mkdir wget # cd wget # apt-get source wg

Bug#112753: giFT daemon does not detach from tty

2001-09-28 Thread David D. Kilzer
FYI to the packager: the giFT daemon does not seem to be deatching itself from the terminal once it's started in the background. You will probably have to patch the daemon to do this so that it can be run at startup. I'm not sure how to do this properly in ANSI C on Linux (or any UNIX), but I kno
