I finally included task-french into tasksel.
I wrote a documentation about using and configuring debian for french
users. It should be included into doc-debian-fr.
There is a problem : ispell vs ispell-gut. The maintainer of these
packages is studying the problem.
This bug will thus be closed.

KDE crashed hard enough that I restarted kdm to regain control...
relogged in as root and had icons in the app starter menus and control
center (at least).
