I'm making my first attempt at running electronic mail. I have exim,
fetchmail and mutt installed. Right now I'm attempting to send mail. From
what I understand exim is the program that sends the mail out from mutt.
Anyway when I try to send mail to my local isp this is some of the error

I just tried using fetchmail in the 'check' mode "fetchmail -c

I don't think the last message I sent went through due to me
changing some things in the rc files. Ayway I will start over.
I changed the "poll" section in .fetchmailrc and now I get:
$ fetchmail -c mail.inebraska.com

So it seems I am clos

This is a mail list for people who are using Debian Linux. What are you
asking exactly? Outlook express won't work with Linux directly. You
could use it if you networked your windows box to a Linux box which was
connected to the net.

My experience with Storm from a magazine is it wouldn't install unless I
used the text based installer. Using the graphical installer the
installation would stop dead at a certain point. No there is no option
to make a boot disk. You have to make one yourself. I would try the
text installer if

Just being nit picky:) 'cp -a' is sufficient -a contains -R
from the man page --
-a, --archive
Preserve as much as possible of the structure and
attributes of the original files in the copy. The
same as -dpR.

Create a directory ".fvwm2" in your home directory, if you don't have
one. In that directory create the file "background.color" put in the
color you want for example mine is "DarkSlateGray4" Make sure you have

Read .fvwm2/init.hook

First you need to find out if that card is supported. If it is then
find out which driver you need. Then you compile that driver into you

Someone will probably answer with more detail but see --

and look at 'man dpkg.' I have to run.
The kernel compiling is listed in the FAQ also. Install the
kernel-package and read the docs there.

To learn more about Linux. To make the kernel smaller so you have
shorter boot times. Those are a couple of reasons to do so. I bet I
could come up with more but I have to eat:)

your PS/2 has a mca microbus, if I remember correctly. If that is the

There is a program 'hostname' you can use but if I remember right to
make it stick you need to sometimes change the file.

I'm sure someone here can tell you exactly where it is. I would guess

I don't know about a default but I use 'qpopper' on my home system. You
set your mail client to point to the box that contains the pop server
and the user name/password is the user name/password on that box. Then
you can run 'fetchmail' to bring the mail in. You can set it to run as
a daemon. E
