supports 48bit LBA which is what I need to partition this disk so that I can use all

Ed, you need to go to "network places" in XP, and set up the network
there for XP. Make sure you use the same workgroup name as the Linux
network. You need "setup a network for home or a small office", choose
home.

entries I had made so they are still with me. One of them is

This works for me, and the suffix is not stripped by NS. I just

right ttySx for it, and the jumpers (if any) on the card are
correct, then you've probably got a dead modem card.

Have you checked the permissions on the directories leading up to
the file 'green', ie., etc, ppp, and peers.

colorized, allows the use of the arrow
keys in an intuitive way, and can show both info *and* man pages
(it checks for an info file first, if not found it will look for a
man page). The info-like node linking ability works on properly
written man pages too (hilighted references to other programs
become a link in pinfo).
