I'm trying to install Xfree86 on top of Debian Linux 2.1 on
an old 386 DX intel chip system.
I'm using a Windows 95, pentium based machine, with Netscape
to dowload the files, then a 3 1/2 inch floppy drive to
transfer the files from the pentium to the DOS partition on
the 386, then into the Linux
I've got Debian Linux 2.1 running on an old 386 DX intel
chip system.
I've installed all of the X11 packages that I think I need
from
http://www.debian.org/Packages/stable/x11/
starting with xfree86-common, and xserver-common and then
downloading other dependent packages.
Here's everything that I
XF86Setup tells me "Congradulations, you now have a working
server" and returns me to the prompt.
But when I type:
startx
The following errors are printed to the screen:
