You should take a look at the whereami package. It's great for moving
between different network profiles.

Or, you could look into Bacula (www.bacula.org). It's a simple backup
system that has GNU/Linux and Windows clients. There's a Debian package
for it too. :)

Sure. Don't include the -a switch when you run ls.
