xntpd. Which standard programs should I be removing or shutting down?
Eventually, we're planning on setting up a system for ip masquerading and
on-demand ppp dialing by a gateway for the entire apartment, and I don't
want my machine starting or keeping that connection up too much. Tho
program called sloup
installed on your newt, but it should work fine. Congratulations on getting

DOS fdisk, and not the Win95 fdisk. Partition Magic would probably find a
way to fix it as it could probably change it to a regular DOS extended
partition without losing any of your data. Anyways, good luck.

-Secure is okay(I'm using it now), but I'm really looking forward to
secureCRT, which is still in beta, but should be really cool. CRT is the

Any thoughts? This is the only service that this machine provides, so it's
not a big deal if I have to strip out some other web functionality to get
this to work.

suid bit via sudo?
That's a thought, but will it work? It looks like apache isn't letting me
execute a setuid root program (suidperl) in the CGI. Since sudo is setuid as
well won't I have the same problem?
