unstable Xfree mouse

OK! I have made progress. Now I have to get the mouse working. It is an old Logitech mouse. Under Redhat, it took the "older logitech C7 serial mouse" driver. But the "Logitech" driver doesn't work -- see previous message's appended log file. I wonder why there isn't a configuration utility like a
