I have two knoppix systems with the same problem. The time returned by
"date" does not match the timestamps shown in the logfiles. I've run
"tzconfig" and changed the timezone to US/Pacific. I've used "ntpdate"
to update the time with a valid timeserver. All indications are that my
setup is

query the calendar very quickly. But it doesn't work from
cron.
The old unix calendar program offers me what I need from cron but it is
too hard to get information from when looking for free time to schedule
an appointment.
What is the popular choice out there?

I updated java. Now Galeon crashes when I go to a site with a java app.
The error refers to the path of the old java plugin. I relinked all the
references in /etc/alternatives. Where does Galeon get it's path to
java?

in testing, the version of mutt is 1.3.28-1. When I last upgraded it
was 1.3.27i. This version included the trash folder patch. Now it is
gone. How can I get that functionality back? It is very nice.
