Remove and add lilo

Is there any way to remove lilo from MBR and add it to /dev/hda2?  Thanks

Font server hangs while booting

Since upgrading to Xfree86 4.01,  my PC hangs when the XFS is started during booting.  Is there anyway to boot step by step so I can bypass XFS starting?  Thanks.

XFS hanging during boot

I'm trying to boot my potato after upgrading to XF 4.01. The system hangs while starting the font server (XFS ). I tried booting into single user mode to remove S20XFS from /etc/rc2.d but the file system is mounted read only. Does anyone know how to work around this? Thanks

IP Alias

How do you assigned an IP Alias to a nic card at boot? I tried adding it to /etc/network/interfaces but it doesn't work. Thanks.
