Are any compositing tiling window managers available for Debian Stable? I
currently use Awesome, but it is available only for Testing, and installing
it on Stable has proven impossible, because of XCB dependencies. Or would it
be possible to install the Awesome from Testing after installing the ker
In Lenny, have the Java/Flash/video-codec packages in AMD64 reached the same
level of functinonality as in I386? I am ready to use non-free packages.

Why should "/boot" be on a separate partition (rather than on the "/"
partition)?
I have installed Debian 3.1 with a separate "/boot" partition. I intend
installing Ubuntu 5.10 . Should I share the "/boot" partition between Debian
and Ubuntu?

How to allow multiple programs to emit sound simultaneously?
Currently, only one program is able to emit sound at a time.

I am using LANG='ta_IN' (Tamil-India). Gnome Terminal displays each
double-width character in two columns while Mutt apparently expects each to
take one column. Due to this, the display is gets garbled. How can this
problem be solved?
