It is a kernel module and part of the official debian distro, isn't it? My

On a sidebar ... When logging into KDE I do hear sound, but it sounds like it
is played to loud (which it isn't). I believe it is a driver/settings issue
as it was working fine with the other os.

the whole systems stalls. I am running 2.4.19 on unstable.
When renicing the copying processes it works ok, but I am not sure if that

no need to further look at the problem. I am now using the ide drive
as my primary drive and that seems to work. Its just amazing that it did
work before with SuSE also using LILO

returned from apm suspend and now this process eats 95% of my cpu. Oddly
enough I am not able to kill it with kill -9 pid.

when using the internal mouse on the am machine it sometimes works,
but most of the time it just moves a bit and when I am at the end of the
touchpad lift my finger and lower it at the begin of the touchpad the
cursor returns to the lower left corner?!

Which one is "kernelimage"? I found one called bzImage, size ~500K.

more readable (to me) than the ones installed by default with kde.

since a couple of weeks I have the above described problem. My monitor shows
that I run with 1024x768. The funny thing is that this resolution is nowhere
to be found in my XF86Config-4 (see attached file).
I assumed that this was part of the problem with the gcc bug, but meanwhile
