Has someone successfully install NYS on debian?? Do you know how to make
it on Red-Hat 6.1?? In both cases I can see the NIS+ tables, but I can't
perform a login.
I know how to do it with NIS, but I don't want to put my NIS+ servers in
NIS compatibility mode (security reasons). I need NIS+.

problem is that my Xfs stopped working. The initialization script
(/etc/init.d/xfs) freezes when I try to start it.
Any ideas?
That works, but it doesn't fix my xfs, i need to run it!
Do you have any other ideas?

(the one with 5 buttons)?
I'm trying to get my Intellimouse Explorer working with XFree 4.0 My

Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "ExplorerPS/2"

Is there a program to use the IPv4 source routing feature?
I need to send some DNS requests (UPD packets port 53) but specifying
through which routers it is going to be routed.
Has anyone use nc (netcat) to check connectivity using nc's -g option to
specify loose source routed path???
I think I need the kernel not to drop ip packets with source route options
(which is the default I think), but if that's true, how do I disable this
kernel feature???
I have 4 .raw files that are suppose to be debian potato's distribution.
But how do I get a bootable CD from them? Do I need a special program to
do that?
thanks!
There is a good ftp at ftp.kando.hu
Somewhere in /pub there is a CD-IMAGES directory, inside there are lots of
.raw files (you can mount them with mount -t iso9660 -o ro,loop=/dev/loop0
) I know that potato's images are there.

Are there any special considerations when installing debian (probably
potato) in a box with an Athlon 800 Mhz with 10,2 GB and a Matrox G400???
I recently installed debian 2.2rev2 without any graphical stuff, but also
I installed mason, junkbuster, and ipv6 just for testing.
When I connect to my ISP, I can download files without any problem, but
when I try to send a file bigger than 3kb(using ftp, or send a mail with
