Hallo!
I want to install a Woody on a system which has a RAID-controller:
Promise FastTrak 2000
Neither the bf24 nor the normal kernel recognize the controller (so not
the array).
I got the open-drivers from Promise, download the 2.4.18-5 kernel-source
deb-packet, tarbunzipped it and made a li
Hallo!
I have a SCSI client running a AHA-2940. I wanted to run a USB
flashcard-reader with it and that does not work.
Same configuration on a IDE client works.
After some playing around I compiled a new kernel with integrated USB
support and modulized SCSI support - it works!
Seems like the US
Hallo!
Like many other people, I have problems running a newer kernel like the
2.4.19 on a machine with an AMD Duron 1300 and an ECS K7VMM mainboard.
While starting the kernel I get the message "ESR value before enabling
vector: 0002" after that the system dies.
This happened with every Deb
Hallo!
I would like to know whether there is a way for new_fax to get the
sender's ID ("Foo Company Ltd") instead of the fax number.
I think the ID is sent separately, or is it simply put on top of the
page? In the second case I could lookup the (known) numbers in a
database, but in the first ca
Hallo!
I have a VIA C3 (Ezra) processor. It is very nice for "normal"
applications, as it takes only a few watt.
I have a problem with the ACPI support of the kernel ...
While 2.4.20 recognizes the processor to support C1 and C2 states, the
2.4.26 does not, as the 2.6.6 does not also.
AFAIK the
/cpuinfo) and what does ACPI say
(modprobe processor; cat /proc/acpi/processor/CPU0/power)?
Maybe something went wrong during the patching or I made something wrong
in configuring the kernel?
Saluti!

Hallo!
After some weeks pausing, I now try to face my issue with BIND9 and
SIG(0) again.
I would like to use private/public key encryption for my dynamic DNS
zone. I get the RSAMD5 keys, but nsupdate does not recognize them:
server2:/etc/bind# nsupdate -k Kinca.antark.de.+001+27364.private
