ATI Graphics Ultra + card (which the HOWTO says is a regular busmouse,

This is a narrowing-down question to my earlier post. What does it
mean when gpm gives me the following error message:
gpm: /dev/inportbm: No such device
The file /dev/inportbm clearly exists, it is character special (10,2) and
it does have appropriate ownership and permissi
There is a package called bin86 in the devel area which contains the
as86 and ld86 binaries, which are necessary for kernel-compilation.
Once you have these, the compilation should proceed smoothly.
I don't know if this is properly a bug in the distribution, though, because
you don't need the x86
