I have an Avery Berkel POS [Point Of Sale] scale which I wish to integrate into a POS system. The
output is sent to a RS232 port. I do not know how to extract the data.

I formatted the usb stick as FAT16 loaded the DOS OS and the Bios update.
The laptop would not boot from the stick. Set the boot parameters to
boot from the usb stick. Computer freezes. Noticed that the laptop
recognizes the usb stick at FAT32.

I had removed the Bios battery [so I thought] {incorrect pictures and
information on the internet #$%@}.
I then removed the real BIOS battery and the problem was solved.

and then setup a directory structure in the Linux partition. I then
moved the usb stick to my laptop and inserted files into the directories

think that Mate is installed, but now have no desktop!
