the US. Here in India Slackware is available, but I had to give up a previous
installation of a free distribution of it.

have totally switched to Linux
Would like to too. But this brings up the question to what extend Linux
supports W95 or DOS packages. I mainly work with different CAD software and
graphic and Web authoring packages, apart from the usual 'office' applications
such as ClarisWorks etc
get the feel of Linux and use the 486
as a client.

As I am about to start installing Linux 1.3.1 on my pre-partitioned HD, I would
like to know which is this program and what to take care of so that the W95
partition remains bootable and usable, while fine-tweaking Linux.
