I believe by default Debian uses a file called /etc/X11/window-managers
put the full path windowmanager that you would like to use in that list.. I
mean for
windowmaker that is how I had to set it up.

What it means is that you don't have the iso8859-1 filesystem install you have
to
configure that option in your kernel under filesystems

I thought the standard name for all cdrom devices was /dev/hdc check your
/dev drirectory to see if you have a hdc device and I bet my bottom dollar
that is your cdrom device
