Using Hamm - 2.0.33 monolithic kernel with ne compiled in. Trying to
get two ne2000 cards to work. Doesn't seen to operate like 1.3.
Putting the hardware parameters in lilo.conf doesn't seem to have any
effect. Also, the mini-howto for multiple ethernets seems to have
dissapeared off the net.
If anyone out there likes XScreenSaver, I've got a pretty cool hack you
can try out. I ported it from the svgalib program razzle, and it really
shines as a screen saver, I think.

browser. I don't know if it is binary or text. I was just following
directions I found in a book. It seemed much easier than using an ftp

Since I do things with graphics a lot (and on my particular setup,
16-bit colors is yucky since gradients aren't smooth at all), I'd
really like to have 24-bit colors at 1024x768. Any suggestions?

What command can I use to find out my drives' cluster size? I know I can
specify what I want to use when I [c]fdisk, and that the default is 2 KB I
think... but I would still like to know how I can find this information out.

For example:
tail -f /var/log/messages
However, tail does not "move" to the new "messages" (or whatever) log file
when they are rotated by savelog. So for example, I will still see the last

My machine (Debian 2.1 slink, stock kernel (2.0.36)) has been locking up on
me unpredictably.
This occurs every several (3-4 on average) days and has been happening ever
since I installed Linux on this machine. (There is no other OS on there.)
My hardware is an Intel 200 MMX CPU on an Asus PI-P5
Perhaps you have a "left-over" .pid file in /var/run/ .

looked for all the images I could use (I think linux_logo --help is where
I found out what those were), none of them had the swirl. I'd appreciate knowing
