i got attacked by an ICMP type nuke i believe (all my ppp junk went
crazy).. but i had no clue how to find out where it was coming from or
how to block it..
any help for the future?

Ok got wordperfect 8 installed.. gotta say i like heres my only problem:
i have an epson stylus color 800 printer.. my printer isnt listed with
the drivers..
so what one do i select and after that what do i fill in so that it
prints directly to the printer and stuff,

ok the power in my house just went out and when linux tries to boot it
goes and checks my inodes and junk and then gets to a part and says:
Problem: block on freelist at 06fbbc90 isnt free
over adn over and doesnt boot it lets me type but i have no clue what to

i installed xfstt copied my true type fonts from windows to /var/ttfonts
ran xfstt --sync but when i run gimp i only have access to the fonts i
used to have what did i do wrong?

use GTKicq make sure u set permissions on /home/user/.icq/gtkicqrc to
only the user..

Hey, i just picked up a TI-89 Calculator for my Calc2 class it was
about $175 w/tax and computer hookup cable, now u can only use the
hookup cable in winblows with their software so is there any linux app
taht will do this??

Ok.. i just used apt-get -f upgrade to upgrade about 300 libraries.. and
now when i try to bakcspace (backspace) it wont work.. is there anything
wrong with my keyboard layout or something? or is it terminal type or is
it xterm? or windowmaker??

i was thinking about upgrading to a matrox marvel-tv which supports
video in and video out... is there anyway to watch video in linux i know
that ouput will be fine i just didnt know if it was possible to watch
TV in linux or do video editing,

hey i was wondering if when u did 'pppconfig' and created a new ppp
account if u can specify what /etc/recolve.conf file u want cause i have
access to a few ISPs around here that use different primary/secondary
dns entries..
So is there any file i can edit to specify what file i want to use?

either type 'startx' as root then when your in Xwindows start an xterm:
cd /usr/src/linux
make xconfig
or if your a normal user in xwindows type:
xhost + localhost (note you must have X started to do this)
su root
cd /usr/src/linux
make xconfig

Helpful information even if you *haven't* seen this: does OpenOffice log its
errors somewhere? I haven't been able to find them. The only logging in
/var/log/* appears to be from installs/uninstalls/reinstalls.
