You might want to try Secure Shell and perhaps a one time password

Hi,
I checked my inetd.conf and services files. Both had the correct afbackup

afbackup is looking for "backuphost" instead of "localhost" which is what

If fdisk /mbr doesn't work try to RTFM! :) Just kidding. Actually, LILO
stores the original MBR in /boot. Read the LILO docs in /usr/doc/lilo to
get detailed instructions on which file to "dd" and what dd flags are
needed.

Like I said to someone else, RTFM! :) LILO stores a copy of the original
MBR in /boot. Read the manual in /usr/doc/lilo for details

Actually there is support for Intense 3D Voodoo. Where have you been? :)
The latest XF86_SVGA server has support for the AT25/AT3D chipset which is
on Voodoo Rush cards. I have the exact same card you have and it works
fine. If you can, install the XF86 3.3.2 Debian hamm packages.

Here is what the lilo manual says:
---
LILO automatically makes backup copies when it overwrites boot sectors.
They are named /boot/boot., with corresponding to the device
number, e.g. 0300 is /dev/hda, 08
Sorry, that should have been:
dd if=/boot/boot.0301 of=/dev/hda bs=446 count=1
