Just out of curiosity, is your boot order "CDROM, Harddisk," or is your
LiveCD somehow trying to boot through the Grub that's installed on the

I think the ".raw" extention indicates a raw file format,
goes like RTFM. :-)

Your colleagues machine won't have listening ports since it's the
agent/client. Check the processes running and look for the

loads up as USB Mass Storage and I 'mount /dev/sda1 /mnt' and I
can access my pictures. The usb-storage and sd_mod modules are

Even though OO is prone to hang/crash, when I restart it, OO has
always recovered my working document properly. This a helluva
lot more than I can say for the same situation using Microshaft
stuff
und and X mouse cursor.

but there are some security issues to be worked
on.
the way i typcially set up my boxen is to use
debian/freebsd for my servers and use
mandrake/suse for my desktops. thus far, it's been
a great combo and i haven't run into any major
problems.

he /etc/environment file and changed
the LANG setting there and then checked /etc/profile to see if
anything was set there for LANG or LC_*, but nothing was. I then
changed the environment variable with "export LANG=en_US". And that
did the trick. Look for an LC_ settings too, such as
401 - 500 of 2407 matches
