The program is the same, but there are fundamental differences between the distros. Its is the same program on Ubuntu and RedHat, but the distros are even more different than Ubuntu and Debian, so the installation methodology is different too. I looked at TrueCrypt years ago, and if I am honest, the Linux functionality seemed like a bolt-on kludge.
