But apparently I have no sound in KDE applications like amarok or dragon.

However, after every reboot I still have to manually remove the modules

Is the question: does the net-install dial/config pppoe ? I haven't seen
that option. You may need a router setup to do the pppoe stuff and run a
dhcp server, or manually do IP addresses.

I've encountered 2 different websites today that told me I need a java
plugin installed. But iceweasel shows that it has such a plugin.
Can anyone suggest how I can diagnose or fix this? The system is
basically lenny (including non-free and the Marillat archives).
