i had some problems with the DVI connector on my computer (notebook)
recently and therefore switched to VGA (i have both). interestingly, the
font size in some applications changed in size (e.g., conky,
thunderbird/icedove).
on my previous computer, i forced the dpi to 100 in kdmrc

The following is a record of a problem we had here with a debian Etch Security

The culprit seems to have been the

I have a ThinkPad T60 running Lenny. Its normally plugged into an Ethernet
port. I realized recently that only the wired network is showing up
in my networking tools, even though the machine does support WiFi.

I'm running Debian etch on my AMD64 box. It has an nVidia GeForce 6600
card and I'm using nVidia's module driver (v169.12). When I try and use
'gv' to display an IDL-produced plot it gives a partial plot, the cursor
shows that interpretting is progressing but it never completes the plot.

My host managed to kill my virtual server while migrating it from one machine
to another. They were able to give me the up to date contents of /var /etc
and /home and a new server with a fresh etch install on it.Will it work
if I just copy over the contents of /var/lib/mySQL?
